Working in Australia
There's a few things every backpacker needs to know before trying to find jobs in Australia. For a start you must have a valid work visa to legally work in Australia, but you also need a Tax File Number (TFN) and an Australian bank account!

Types of Backpacker Jobs available in Australia
- Working in Hostels
There are a fair few jobs out there that are perfect for backpackers. Some companies actively look for backpackers to fill their vacant positions. Working in backpackers hostels can be an easy job to find, however don't rely on being able to work in any hostel as it's all dependent on the season.
- Fruitpicking
The most common backpacker jobs out there are actually fruit picking. Fruitpicking jobs can be incredibly hard work but most employers will provide a place to stay as well as employment. Fruitpicking jobs are also dependent on growing seasons.
